  • Alarm / fire alarm

    In case of an emergency, a loud „beep“ tone without voice message will sound. Stay calme and leave the building immediately through the marked escape routes. Always close any open doors to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. Do not use the elevators, and follow the instructions of the evacuation personnel. Please make your way to the assembly points specified in the escape and rescue plan (car park or barbecue hut). Should the escape route be blocked by smoke, stay in the room and if necessary seal the door to the ground with textiles. Draw attention to yourself via telephone, calling the reception +49 6082 200, stay at the window and wait for the fire service. If the alarm is not automatically triggered in the event of fire, you can trigger it by pressing the push button alarm (location: see escape and rescue plans).

  • ATM / cashpoint

    The nearest Commerzbank ATM / cashpoint is in Königstein or Idstein.

  • Bar / hotel bar

    The hotel‘s Yellow-Bar is situated next to the reception. All major sporting events can be viewed with Sky Sports on several screens. The opening times are from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am daily.

  • Check out

    Please check out on your departure day no later than 10.30 am at the reception. A lockable luggage room is available until your departure.

  • Damage

    Please report any damage immediately to the reception 06082 200

  • Emergencies / First Aid

    In case of emergencies or accidents, please contact the the reception 06082 200, even if the rescue service has already been called. 

  • Fire extinguishers

    Fire extinguishers can be found behind the wall boxes marked with a small icon. The locations are given on the escape and rescue plans in all staircases and rooms. Please try to extinguish a fire only if there is no personal danger to yourself.

  • Housekeeping

    Please note that we will only clean the hotel rooms during your stay upon your request, and we will not make the beds or change towels either. You can simply inform the reception the evening before if you require cleaning.

    Why don't we clean every day?

    Daily room cleaning involves a significant amount of water, various cleaning agents, laundry, and electricity. By foregoing daily cleaning, we can collectively save resources and reduce environmental impact.

  • Hygiene products / extras

    Cotton pads, nail file, shower cap and cotton swabs can be provided at the reception. Toothbrushes, deodorant, cream, razors and other items are available at the kiosk across from the reception. Please do not hesitate to contact the reception for extra (neck) pillow or blanket.

  • Internet access

    Free WiFI CG Free is available throughout the hotel. The password is COLLEGIUM. 

    In addition a computer with printer is situated in our business lounge across the reception. Laptop and mobile phone charging stations are located in the lockers in the reception area.

  • Ironing service

    Feel free to hand in your clothes for ironing at the reception. A service charge will be applied. Alternatively, an ironing room is available, free of charge.

  • Leisure

    Recharge your batteries in the gym, swimming pool, sauna or steam bath or a cozy get-together in our hotel bar. Board games can be borrowed at the reception.     The opening times of our Freis' buffet restaurant are:

    dinner     06.30 pm to 09.00 pm

    On request we gladly prepare a packed lunch for your trip.

    A little tip

    Just bring a reusable water bottle with you on your next stay. Then you can help yourself to our water station in the restaurant.

    Did you forget your own bottle? No problem, we have a beautiful stainless steel drinking bottle for sale locally and it is also ideal for hot drinks.

  • Temperature contol

    With the help of our new wireless thermostats you can set your personal comfort temperature. Please note that the rooms do not have air conditioning. To save energy, the heating is automatically switched off when the window is opened. After leaving the room, the temperature is also reduced. Through these important energy management measures, we look forward to lower consumption and CO2 savings.

  • Wake-up call

    To use the alarm function of the TV, press the alarm button and activate the wake-up service. Enter the desired time and volume and close the program. If you wish to receive a wake-up call from our reception-desk, you can borrow a mobile phone free of charge.

  • Valuables

Questions about your arrival and your stay

  • Check-in / Check-out

    check-in is from 3 pm / check-out is until 10:30 am 

  • How many rooms are there and do they have a balcony?

    There are 127 rooms in different categories.

    Not all of our rooms have a balcony, but the majority do. If you prefer a room with a balcony, we recommend booking a room in our Collegium Premium category. These all have a balcony.

  • How do I arrive by car?

    Coming from Hanover (Hannover), Cassel (Kassel)

    Take the A 5. At the Bad Homburger Kreuz (intersection Bad Homburg) drive onto the A 661, direction Bad Homburg, which will turn into the B 455. Drive in the direction of Königstein as far as to the Königstein roundabout. Take the first exit in the roundabout, B 8 in the direction of Limburg. After you have left Königstein

    Coming from Mannheim, Freiburg, Basel

    Take the A 5 as far as the exit Frankfurt-West [exit Messe (Fair)], then take the A 648 out of town, in direction A 66 (Wiesbaden). Then you have to change onto the A 66 to Wiesbaden. After a few kilometres on the A 66 there will be the exit to the B 8 at the Main-Taunus-Zentrum
    (Main-Taunus-Centre), direction Königstein. Drive on the two-laned B 8 till the end, then drive right on the B 8/B 519 in the direction of Königstein. At the Königstein roundabout you have to take the second exit, B 8 in the direction of Limburg. After you have left Königstein

    Coming from Würzburg, Munich (München)

    Take the A 3 as far as to the Offenbacher Kreuz (intersection Offenbach), then drive onto the A 661 in the direction of Bad Homburg which will be B 455 later on. Drive as far as to the Königstein roundabout. Take the first exit in the roundabout, B 8 in the direction of Limburg. After you have left Königstein

    After you have left Königstein, stay on the B 8 and pass through Glashütten, 2 km (1.2 miles)
    behind the exit place name sign Glashütten at a big crossing – on a field – turn right to Schmitten/Oberems. Oberems follows, at the incline on the left you can already see the Collegium Glashütten. Pass through Oberems, at the exit of the village turn left in the direction of Niederems. After approximately 200 metres (220 yards) you get to our entrance. You’ve done it!

    Coming from Wiesbaden, Mayence (Mainz)

    Take the A 3 direction Cologne. (e.g. over the B 455 or the A 66) as far as to the exit Idstein. From here see the description Cologne.

    Coming from Cologne (Köln)

    Take the A 3 as far as to the exit Idstein. Before the entry to Idstein turn right in the direction of Usingen/ Waldems and change onto the B 275. Follow the B 275 as far as the centre of Waldems-Esch. Then turn right on the B 8, direction Königstein/Frankfurt. Only a few kilometres later, you will come to a junction, turn left there to Schmitten/Oberems. Oberems follows, at the incline on your left you can already see the Collegium Glashütten. Drive through the village, at the exit of the village turn left into the direction of Niederems. After approximately 200 metres (220 yards) you get to our entrance. You’ve made it!

  • Is the hotel accessible by public transport?

    The best stop for you is Frankfurt/Main central station. You arrive above ground. To continue your journey, use the escalators to get to the underground S-Bahn station. There the S 4 in the direction of Kronberg, usually from platform 103 or 104, exceptions will be announced.
    Get off at the terminus Kronberg. From there a short cab transfer to Glashütten-Oberems is necessary. You are welcome to book this in advance directly with us. Here you can find an online order form.

    The bus stop "Wüstemser Straße" is located 200 m from Collegium Glashütten. There is a bus several times a day in the direction of Idstein or Königstein.

  • Do you have parking spaces and electric parking spaces?

    Yes, we even have 161 free parking spaces, including 1 handicapped accessible and 2 charging stations for electric cars. (However, charging is subject to a fee).

  • Are there extra beds and baby cribs in the house?

    We have some extra beds and baby cribs, which you are welcome to request. The cost of an extra bed is € 20,-/night, the cost of a baby crib is € 10 ,-/night. 

  • Do you have a bar?

    Yes, our Yellow-Bar is open daily from 6 pm. 

  • Do you have a restaurant?

    Yes, your can enjoy all meals in our Freis' Restaurant. Breakfast is available from 7 - 10 am and dinner from 6:30 - 9:00 pm. In the warm months the adjoining sun terrace is also at your disposal during meals.  

  • Do you have a swimming pool and a sauna?

    Yes, we have a 550 square meter recreation area with pool, sauna and steam bath.

  • Do you have a fitness area?

    Yes, we do have a fitness area

  • Do you have air conditioning?

    No, our rooms do not provide air conditioning. We rely on the fresh Taunus air instead.

  • Do the rooms have a balcony?

    Not all of our rooms have a balcony, but the majority do. If you prefer a room with balcony, we recommend booking a room of our Collegium Premium Category. These all have a balcony.

  • What about accessibility in your house?

    We have a handicapped accessible parking lot and a room equipped for the disabled. All rooms can be reached by elevator or via ramps, so that nothing should stand in the way of a pleasant stay in the countryside.

  • Can I bring a dog?

    Yes, dogs can stay in selected rooms. We charge a cleaning fee of € 15,-/day.

  • Where is the next ATM?

    The next Commerzbank ATM is in Idstein or Königstein. 

  • Is there WiFi in the hotel?

    Yes, you can use our free WiFi throughout the building. You will receive the access data at the reception. 

  • Is there a possibility to print something?

    Yes, we have two PC terminals with Internet access and connected printers in the foyer area that can be used free of charge. 

  • Is there a shopping facility at your hotel?

    In our hotel foyer there is a kiosk where you can purchase a wide range of drinks and snacks as well as hygiene products. Billing takes place via the reception desk. You will find the nearest Aldi and Rewe market in Glashütten. 

  • Do you have bedding for allergy sensitive people?

    Yes, all our bedding is suitable for allergy patients.

  • Can I get a bathrobe in your house?

    You can get a bathrobe for a fee of € 6,50. We also offer a wellness bag for € 9.90, which includes a large bath towel, bathrobe and slippers. 

  • I forgot my charging cable, can you help me out?

    You can choose from a number of different charging cables and rent them. The output and return takes place via the reception. 

  • Is it possible to rent bicycles from you?

    Yes, we have 2 e-bikes of the brand Hibike. Depending on availability, you can rent these at a daily rate of € 40.00 each.

Questions about your event

  • Which type of events can I hold in the hotel?

    The Collegium is suitable for all types of business events, from seminars to offsite and conferences.

  • How many conference rooms are there and with what capacities?

    There are 27 well-appointed meeting rooms ranging from small breakout rooms to large 220 m² meeting rooms. In the largest room, 199 attendees can be seated in theater style.

  • How are the conference rooms technically equipped?

    By default, your main room is always equipped with a beamer, screen, pin board, flipchart and a moderator's case.

    However, we also have other high-quality media technology that you are welcome to book for your event at an additional charge.

     

  • How does a conference in the Collegium work?

    The heart of an event is always our conference flat rate Perfect Day. This includes your main conference room, which our experienced events team selects based on the number of attendees. There is also catering during breaks at our coffee stations and the lunch buffet including soft and hot drinks in our in-house restaurant.

  • Are there other places for group work and discussions?

    The Collegium is a spacious building with large open spaces that offer plenty of space for group work and discussions with numerous different seating areas and bar tables. On warm days, you can also retreat to the hotel garden or the terrace.

  • How are the events managed?

    Our events team is at your side from the first contact, through the offer to the implementation of your event.

    There is also a team of media technicians who will be happy to help you install beamers, microphones, etc.

     

  • Can I bring my own conference technology?

    The Collegium already offers extensive in-house media technology. If something is still missing, we can either organize this for you with our external technology partner, or you can bring the desired technology with you. However, you should let us know in advance.

  • Are there any after work programs?

    Yes, we offer after work programs. We have some in-house ourselves, for others we have partners who know the house and the area well and are happy to support you.

  • Can I order a special meal for my conference guests?

    Culinary art has always been very popular in the Collegium. Our seminar-accompanying meals are always praised. If it should still be something special, such as a menu or barbecue buffet, you will find numerous suggestions in our banquets. Please ask our events team.

  • Can parking spaces be reserved for an event?

    Unfortunately no, but we offer 165 free parking spaces for our guests.

  • Do you have a lockable parking space for bicycles and motorbikes?

    No, but bicycles and motorbikes can be parked in our garage.

By car

The Collegium Glashütten is located 30 km north of Frankfurt and can be easily reached by car from all directions.

Public transport

You arrive at Frankfurt/Main main station above ground with the long-distance trains. There you can either take the regional train RB 12 to  Königstein station and continue by bus line 60 or 81 to Glashütten-Oberems "Wüstemser Straße". 

As an alternative you can walk to the underground "S-Bahn" station. The S 4 leaves in the direction to Kronberg, usually from platform 103 or 104. Get out at the Kronberg terminus. From there a short cab transfer to Glashütten-Oberems is necessary. Please use the taxi pickup form below.
